Stand-Alone Directional Passenger Counter

DA-200

While our DA-20 directional sensors require a DL-10B Data-Logger to analyse and store counting data, the DA-200 is stand-alone. It incorporates a microprocessor that analyses the counting signals and memory to store the data right in the sensor, saving the cost of purchasing and wiring a Data-Logger.

The DA-200 directional sensor series is designed to count people in buses, light rail and other public transit vehicles. It detects the passage of people and determines their direction. It incorporates an innovative new electro-optical approach.

This technology is fully operational and tested. Accuracy, certified by our customers? extensive testing, is above 95%.

BENEFITS

  • Cost effective on all aspects:
    • Enclosed processing saves cost of buying data-logging equipment.
    • Reduces wiring expenses.
    • Simplifies installation.
  • Networkable: sensors can communicate with existing on-board computer.
  • Accepts external door switch inputs.
  • Self-calibrates.
  • Re-programmable.
  • Powered by the vehicle's battery or an existing on-board computer.
  • Diecast aluminium case.
    • Adjustable detection zone.
    • Unaffected by speed of passage.
    • Unaffected by immobile passengers.
  • Withstands environmental stresses common to vehicles.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

This autonomous passenger-counting sensor is designed to work in trains and other vehicles equipped with several doors, requiring a large number of sensors or counting points, as well as in vehicles already equipped with an on-board computer.
