Job Description
Infodev EDI is currently looking for a mechanical engineering technician to join the Quebec office. The candidate will have as main mandate to assist the technician of the mechanical workshop as well as the machinists in the manufacture of parts.
Your Responsabilities
- Folder management (providing drawings, monitoring projects, attending production meetings, etc.).
- Analyze and design solutions to integrate systems with customer infrastructures.
- Carry out mechanical plans for documentation, machining, production and market purposes.
- Ensure mechanical supply with subcontractors and the mechanical workshop manager.
- Document the projects.
- Work with a hydraulic folder, numerically controlled machine, numerically controlled punching machine and grinding machine.
- Send the appropriate instructions to the production department to complete the transfer.
- Interact with external subcontractors.
- Dimensional and geometric inspection of the machined parts.
- Use of direct measuring instruments.
- Prototypes and subsequent tests in accordance with the specifications (including contracts, photos, etc.)
- Occasionally, assist production by performing mechanical and electronic assembly of various products.
Job Requirements
- DEC in mechanical engineering.
- Experience with numerically controlled machines (CNC).
- Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite.
- Meet the company's security and operational standards.
- Bilingualism French - English
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, EZ-Cam and Edge Cam (an asset).
- Experience in manufacturing or electronic systems (an asset).
- Knowledge of electronic and computer systems (an asset).
