Job Description
Reporting to the service manager, Infodev EDI is currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The selected person will have to check and correct the problems encountered on the counting systems. It should also train users remotely or on site in the handling of the data collected. Depending on their availability, they will sometimes be required to travel (Canada – USA) to assist customers in training and installing the systems.
Your Responsabilities
- Answer service calls.
- Record the problems encountered.
- Gather information about the difficulties encountered.
- Solve problems.
- Configure the components remotely for optimal performance.
- Write documentation regarding the use of counting devices.
- Train users.
- Ensure that the requirements specified in the customer's contract are met.
- Write a report on the intervention.
- Assist the sales representative in choosing the components to be installed.
- Follow the installation and configuration of the components at the customer.
- Make sure you know the evolution of the company's products.
- Assist in the production of equipment.
Job Requirements
- Hold a college or professional diploma with a specialty related to the job.
- Relevant experience in the technology and electronics sector.
- Professional experience of more than a year.
- Advanced French and English bilingualism - spoken and written (other languages an asset).
- Proficiency of the MS Office suite.
- Meet the company's security and operational standards.
- Knowledge of networking (an asset).
